You don’t have to see the whole staircase

Don’t look too far in front of you

I saw this photograph online the other day and thought it was brilliant.

The whole staircase...

The whole staircase…

Sometimes we can’t envisage what the end picture looks like or it seems too far away from where we are right now. We need faith and belief that a step in the right direction will lead us there.

Everything seems easier when it is broken down into smaller pieces.

A working life is often 45-50 years or so, but that is lots of shorter amounts of time that make it up often including many different jobs on the way.

A marathon is 26.2 miles but it is lots of smaller distances along the way.

A tree grows big and tall to some impressive heights but it doesn’t do it all in one go, it grows slowly and surely along the way.

You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.

Take that step today and have faith in yourself.
