Website Building

Richard enjoys building websites too. Since the late 1990’s. Richard has built a number of sites in WordPress, Joomla, Shopify, SquareSpace, Wix as well as previously in Dreamweaver. He builds mostly in WordPress nowadays as it meets all his design and build requirements and he feels it has the best support infrastructure in place for him.

Richard is keen for others to get the very best out of using internet technologies and to show where improvements can be made and hopefully improve the user experience for their customers. He says that getting a fresh pair of eyes to look at a problem really helps.

Richard Lord’s experience

Whilst Richard Lord has worked in the public sector for the NHS for the last seven years now, he has previously worked in the private sector as well as for a not-for-profit organisation.

Rugby League

Richard is a former Rugby League player, coach and manager. He was more successful OFF the pitch than ON it though. He would be the first to say that he can read the game well, but playing it is a different story altogether!

Richard Lord was presented with a national award from the sport’s governing body – Pioneer of the Year – for his recruitment approach as manager of a Rugby League club outside of the traditional heartland areas. He was also invited to a Mayoral Reception for his Contribution to Sport in the City of Wolverhampton having recruited over 100 new players in the area in just over two years.

It was also through Richard’s negotiations with the local council that the first ever council-provided Rugby League pitch in the Midlands was built. He went on to be player/manager for several touch rugby and tag rugby teams in West Yorkshire after relocating, again collecting more silverware along the way with each of those teams.
